The Great Safety Adventure® Visits Representative Leonard Boswell's (D-IA-3rd) District

The Great Safety Adventure® visited Iowa's 3rd District, represented by Democratic Congressman Leonard Boswell, during the first week of August.

The exhibit, which visited several YMCAs and community centers while in the Des Moines area, has become one of the Home Safety Council’s flagship programs, arming children and families with critical home safety knowledge. The award-winning “field trip on wheels” has reached nearly 950,000 children and caregivers since it launched in 1999.

Dave Campbell and Ted Tran, Field Representatives for Congressman Boswell, toured the exhibit on two separate occasions, meeting with Rover the Safety Hound and the children.

Following his tour of the GSA, Tran noted that the children learned a lot from the exhibit. "They were very attentive, and had a lot of fun while going through the exhibit," said Tran. "They could not wait to go from one room to another. It was a very educational and informative experience. Thank you for allowing us to tour the exhibit.”
