The Great Safety Adventure® Visits Representative Steny Hoyer’s (D-MD-5th) District

Continuing its tour of the Washington, D.C. area and the surrounding congressional districts, The Great Safety Adventure® visited the Laurel Community Center and Summer Camp in Maryland’s 5th district, represented by Democratic Congressman Steny Hoyer.

Entering its eighth year on the road, the exhibit has become one of the Home Safety Council’s flagship programs, arming children and families with critical home safety knowledge. The award-winning “field trip on wheels” has reached nearly 950,000 children and caregivers since it launched in 1999.

Terrence Taylor, Field Representative for Congressman Hoyer, participated in a tour of the exhibit where he met with Rover the Home Safety Hound and the children at the Laurel Community Center and Summer Camp.

Rep. Hoyer, who was unable to attend in person, has been a steadfast and supportive ally of the Home Safety Council and its mission to prevent unintentional injuries in the home.
