Home Safety

Most people think of their homes as safe havens in an unsafe world. Yet each year millions of people suffer preventable injuries that happen at home. On average, more than 18,000 die from their injuries each year.

Fortunately, there are ways to make a home safer. This special section of News for You addresses some of the leading causes of avoidable death and injury at home. It suggests some things you can do right now to reduce risk in your home.
