Facts about Unintentional Injury in the Home

Unintentional injury is a major public health problem in the United States. On average, more than 91,000 individuals die each year from an unintentional injury, and approximately 20 percent of these deaths occur in the home.

The Home Safety Council is committed to researching and understanding injury at home and what needs to be done to prevent the problem.
