Theresa Covington, Director
National MCH Center for Child Death Review Policy and Practice
Theresa Covington is the director of the MCHB-funded National Center for Child Death Review, supporting states in their efforts to translate reviews into efforts to prevent injuries and deaths. She managed the Michigan Child Death Review Program and the Michigan Infant Mortality Review Program from 1994-2004. She has established and managed adolescent school-based health centers, comprehensive teen parenting programs, youth violence prevention programs, early childhood intervention services, young father support services, and child abuse and neglect education programs. She is also a strategic planning and grant writing consultant. She has a Masters in Public Health from the University of Michigan.
