About the Home Safety Literacy Project

Easy-to-read educational materials are needed in every community. More than 93 million adults in the U.S. have low reading ability, a serious barrier to learning and understanding basic home safety skills. The Home Safety Literacy Project provides effective, low-cost fire safety, poison prevention and disaster preparedness education materials designed for adults at all reading levels. The materials are highly illustrated with minimal text and written in an easy-to-read style.
